Philippine Mass Schedules

Today is Sunday, and I am sure that many of us are attending our weekly holy obligation, which is the mass.  Let me share with you mass-schedules.com, which I discovered two years ago.  It’s a comprehensive site — a database — listing schedules of masses in churches nationwide.

It really is very handy when one finds himself unable to attend mass at the usual place or time.  It’s a great to use when you are out of town on a Sunday, etc.  There are also details about schedules for confession.  I once needed to go to Real, Quezon in 2008, and was not sure if I would make it to the mass there.  So my challenge was to look for the earliest mass.  Incidentally, I was traveling with a friend and our meeting place was in the Timog area in Quezon City.  Thanks to the site, I discovered that the Sacred Heart Church along Scout Ybardolaza in  Kamuning has a 5:30 a.m. mass.  Oh, they have the latest mass too at 8:30 p.m.

The owner of the site chooses to be anonymous.  But let me congratulate the owner for coming up with a great initiative.  I personally invite everyone to support this initiative by helping add schedules of Churches in your area that don’t have complete details yet.  More information on how to help is on the site.

So for schedules of masses here in the Philippines, do visit: http://www.mass-schedules.com/ .  You can also click on the Philippine mass schedules link on my blogroll.

Have a blessed Sunday, everyone!  And of course, don’t forget to go to mass on this beautiful day.
