Good Hair Day? I took this photo during my coverage of Bayan Muna Rep. Satur Ocampo in March 2007. He was detained for a few days at the Manila Police District Headquarters for murder charges. The Supreme Court eventually ordered the police to set him free. Naturally there was outrage within the opposition and the militant community over his arrest. His supporters came in full support — and yes, even his barber.
Not surprisingly, security was tight, and news cameras were initially banned from covering Ocampo, apparently for security reasons (really now!). But thanks to the advent modern technology — cell phone cameras and 3G — the media is still able to do its duty, despite limitations and restrictions.
