Was doing some “Spring Cleaning” in my hard drive, and saw this story of mine in my recordings. It was one of the best edited stories of mine ever to air on Saksi, and took some amount of research before it aired in May 2007.
The story: just a month before the mid-term elections, Malacanang releases more than a billion pesos for rehabilitation of typhoon-stricken areas, which apparently included areas that weren’t even hit by typhoons. The Palace, naturally denies of course, that the disbursements are a repeat of the Fertilizer Fund Scam in 2004, just before the Presidential Elections.
