I wish to take this opportunity once more to thank my good friends from the industry, who came to the thanksgiving dinner/salu-salo at my place last May 17. As I had said that night, I know how hard it is to drive all the way from Quezon City to Alabang especially on a Saturday. Looking forward to more and more years of friendship, sharings, food trips, and kuwentuhans. To those who weren’t able to make it, you missed a lot! Sa mga hindi ko naimbita, kayo ang susunod na batch. Truth be told, I wanted to invite everyone, but given that I personally cooked — catered — the entire meal, to have invited everyone would have been not just a logistical nightmare, but a catastrophe. So thank you for your understanding.
For the record, I made: Shepherd’s Pie, my Vigan Longganisa Fusilli, Spaghetti ala Vodka, Lemon-Pineapple Roast Chicken, Crab Cake, Sausage and Spinach Quiche. And the dessert, I made chocolate ganache cake, and brought out my chocolate fondue fountain. This is the largest group I’ve cooked for so far, and it was my first time actually to use chafing dishes. Thank goodness, I was able to finish the meal. No doubt about it, I enjoyed cooking for all of you. To have been able to bring together my different friends all under one roof was a dream come true.
As promised, here are the pictures from last week. I will also e-mail the photos to you separately.
Thanks again! I will never tire of saying how grateful I am for your friendship.
