Kabitero was a story I did in 2006 for Reporter’s Notebook. The story brought our team to Baguio City, where explosives would be used to facilitate the construction of houses. The practice does bring about its share of problems for the environment. Unfortunately also, some minors are involved in the activity. Of course, this story would not have been possible without Joseph Laban, the segment producer of the story, as well as Pia Faustino, the researcher.
